3D Print with Fusion 360
In this Part we use Fusion 360 to design a product and use 3d printing machine to print the design.
Creating the Design
For our 3d printing design we are going to make a 4 point fidget spinner. We will use 4 metal bearing. After we make the design, we will use the 3d star software to print it .
Step 1
First create a plain sketch. Pinpoint the center and make a circle. The bearing we are going to use for the spinner is 22mm. So the diameter for the design should be little bigger (22.1 mm here). Next we put the same circle around the center in a circualr pattern. Set offset to them at 2mm.
Step 2
Now we put a 3 point arc to connect the circles. use the tangent point method make it through.
Step 3
Now stop the sketch and extrude the plane. Set the offset at 6 mm.
Step 4
Now since we have our design ready, we can proceed to 3d printing. First we have save this design as a stl in our storage. For printing Purpose, we are going to use 3d printing software. There are several software available like Blender, DesignSpark Mechanical, OpenSCAD, 3D Slash. But we are using a software called 3dStar.
Step 5
Now we can import the stl file into 3d star, fix the position of design and other things in the software and proceed to print.
